Sealants
Protect Against Tooth Decay and Cavities
Sealants are a great way to protect teeth from decay and cavities. It is a thin, plastic coating applied over the surface of the teeth, especially molars, which are most vulnerable because they are the teeth primarily used in chewing and the most difficult to reach and clean. As the sealant bonds to the enamel, it creates a shield that protects the teeth from plaque, food particles, and bacteria. Sealants normally last for up to ten years and can be reapplied as necessary.
