Inlays and Onlays
Restore Teeth with Extensive Damage
Inlays and onlays are often referred to as partial crowns. They are laid over your existing tooth to strengthen it, restore its shape, and prevent further damage. An inlay is done when there is no damage to the cusps of the tooth and an onlay is used when the damage is more extensive.
Inlays and onlays are made from porcelain, gold, or composite resin. The restoration takes roughly 2-3 weeks, but once it is completed, the tooth looks natural. Neither you nor anyone else will be able to tell the difference.
